Peder Severin Krøyer was a Norwegian-Danish painter known for his depictions of the Skagen Painters colony and his contributions to both Realism and Impressionism. He captured the light and atmosphere of the Scandinavian landscape and the lives of the artists and fishermen who inhabited it.
