artist bio
Wayne Thiebaud is an American painter known for his colorful depictions of commonplace objects—pies, lipsticks, paint cans, ice cream cones, pastries—and his landscapes and cityscapes. He is associated with the Pop Art movement because of his interest in consumerism, although his works, executed through his unique painterly style, predate the movement.
