Mykhailo Boychuk was a Ukrainian painter, known for developing a distinct style of monumental art that blended Byzantine and Ukrainian folk traditions. He founded the Boychukist school, which aimed to create a national art form accessible to the masses, but was later repressed by the Soviet regime.
