Paul Revere was an American silversmith, engraver, early industrialist, and Patriot best known for his role in alerting the colonial militia to the approach of British forces before the Battles of Lexington and Concord. While celebrated for his political activism, Revere was also a skilled artisan whose silverwork and engravings reflect the Rococo style prevalent in the 18th century.
