Mikhail Larionov was a pivotal figure in the Russian avant-garde, known for his diverse artistic styles and theoretical contributions. He was a founder of Rayonism, one of the first abstract art movements in Russia, and significantly impacted stage design and costume during his time with the Ballets Russes.
